The Receptionist will play an important role as one of the first points of contact for guests and will be expected to represent the organisation with professionalism, confidence, and excellent customer care.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for welcoming guests and ensuring a smooth experience from arrival to departure. Key duties will include:
- Welcoming and assisting guests in a professional and friendly manner.
- Managing guest check-in and check-out procedures efficiently.
- Handling reservations, bookings, cancellations, and guest enquiries.
- Answering telephone calls, emails, WhatsApp messages, and other guest communications.
- Providing accurate information about Barra Beach facilities, services, activities, and surrounding attractions.
- Maintaining accurate guest records and reservation information.
- Coordinating with housekeeping, management, food and beverage, and other departments to ensure excellent guest service.
- Responding professionally to guest complaints and resolving concerns promptly.
- Operating computerised reservation and front-office systems accurately.
- Supporting daily front-office administration and other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants should have a Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality, Hotel Management, Tourism, Business Administration, or a related field. Previous experience in reception, front office, customer service, hotels, resorts, or a similar hospitality environment will be an added advantage.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate:

- Strong spoken and written English and Swahili.
- Good computer skills and familiarity with reservation or Property Management Systems (PMS).
